i think this will be one of those narrative busters. like the pellegrini 1-0 over chelsea or bilic's cup win over spurs. an afternoon's euphoria that ultimately postpones the inevitable.
they've been a favoured opponent for moyes over recent years that he has dismantled through cynical counter attacking football. i expect him to bin off all and any "progressive" aspirations and go back to what's worked for him in the past.
and if that doesn't work, well then that's the last card played.

I want us to win well or lose badly. Either of those are "good" for different reasons.
The LAST thing we need is another mediocre display that yields some backs to the wall by the skin of he teeth 1-0 win that extends Moyes tenure.
I eirher want him gone or I want to see signs he's trying to turn it around. I've seen signs of neither happening.

A narrow loss or at best a draw would be tge worst outcome in some ways. Expect that to be the outcome. I’ve seen this movie many times and things now going from bad to worse. We got our old West Ham back :-(

Surely Moyes must try something different? His experience isn’t affording him to consider a plan B. I’d like to see Scammaca and Antonio from the start, the latter wide. If we go out against Leicester ‘not to lose’ rather than play to win I think it will be the end for Moyes and we will lose anyway.

Don't matter what he tries now, it's too late. The players ha e clocked off. Bowen aint going to the WC so he's got the hump, Rice is going to the WC and is trying not to get injured. Paqueta and Scamacca look like they want out already, Benrahma is in an abusive relationship with Moyes and the rest of them are fucking clocked off, out of form or just plain shit (Cresswell). Throw into the mix Moyes' abysmal tactics and inherent gutlessness and we're pretty much fucked. Win five nil against Leicester or lose Moyes has still got to fucking go. Everyone is sick of the bloke, the players, the fans, everyone. Decisive action was required a month ago, we've dithered and now is the very latest we should be waiting.

Leicester are on the ascendancy plus we owe them big time for recent results.

8 defenders and 2 goals conceded v Blackburn. Clearly doesn't work, what with Teilimans, Maddison, Barnes all on form and Vardy scoring for fun, we may need 9 defenders v Leceister.

Am looking forward to this.
With Moyes under so much pressure (could be his last game) could see us really do for it and get lots of goals. On other hand it goes wrong and Moyes sacked.
Either way will be an interesting Saturday night.

From what I can see, as each bad performance and / or result passes, the team become even more defensive. There's even less impetus to attack and just to resort to sitting in and defending in the hope that we 'don't lose'.
It's almost like watching someone with a terminal disease slowly die. Each they they get weaker and weaker and, in the end, are happy with just having a day where they can sit up and watch TV.
We've slipped so far down under Moyes. The players look tired and jaded, they look confused, with not a clue what they should be doing individually or as a team. It's painting by numbers. Basic and easy to play against. The ball goes across the back, then back across, then back across, goes into Rice, who runs it upfield. It goes out wide. Back inside. Back out wide. Back to full back, then across to CB and so we repeat. All whilst Scamacca jogs about up front looking like a lanky piece of balsa wood blowing about in the wind.
I've been going to West Ham regularly since early to mid 90's and this is fucking as turgid as anything I can remember. It's dull, uninspiring, panic football with no logical and efficient system. And the scary thing is - I think Moyes is as confused as all of us.
He has become the problem.
